Investing in Infrastructure conference, September 2011
28 September 2011
CBI Conference Centre, London
Water UK’s Investing in Infrastructure conference will be held on 28 September 2011 at the CBI Conference Centre, London. It will bring together thought leaders from all infrastructure sectors to explore strategies for unlocking the private investment needed to have appropriate infrastructure to enable the UK to adapt to a changing climate.
Continued investment in our transport, energy, waste, flood prevention and water infrastructure is needed in order to keep the UK competitive and to help meet the challenges of a potentially low carbon future. The Government has committed to a £200bn programme of infrastructure investment over the next five years, with 80% of this funding coming from the private sector.
Chaired by Peter Simpson, Managing Director, Anglian Water Group, this year’s Water UK conference, Investing in Infrastructure 2011, will explore opportunities for the water industry’s role in the developing green economy. Discussions will focus on the impacts of new planning policies, regulatory reform, adapting to a changing climate, and sourcing funding for sustainable development.
