Alison’s analysis concentrated on natural capital mapping in the Ox-Cam Arc. She has modelled natural capital provisioning, regulating and cultural services to develop a detailed map showing which assets are in the Arc, where they are and how planning scenarios could protect or impact on them.
The rapid assessment scoping approach is not a full natural capital assessment and does not currently take into account hydrology or economic valuation. It does allow users to identify high value assets and to zoom into finer detail such as roadside verges which help store up carbon, and absorb floodwater.
